I spend a lot of time fishing shallow water, grass flats, rocky areas, creek mouths and other productive structure. Tides and water movement play a huge role in where the fish will be, so I don’t believe in taking every trip to the same spot just because it worked yesterday.

My boat is a custom-built shallow-water skiff designed to get into areas that deeper-draft boats simply can’t reach as easily. That gives us the ability to fish the skinny water where redfish, snook and other inshore species spend a lot of their time.

When conditions are right, we’ll work the flats and shallow areas with live bait, artificial lures or whatever presentation makes the most sense for the fish we’re targeting.
