Captain Gary Strickland is the owner and captain of Reel Shallow Fishn Charters, providing private inshore fishing charters throughout Hernando County and Florida’s Nature Coast. With more than 10 years of full-time experience guiding anglers, Captain Gary specializes in shallow-water fishing for redfish, snook, spotted seatrout, grouper and other inshore species. Based near the waters of Hernando Beach, Spring Hill, Weeki Wachee and Bayport, he knows how local tides, weather, water conditions and seasonal patterns affect the fishing. Captain Gary fishes from a custom-built 22-foot MicroDraft flats boat, built in Crystal River for exploring Florida’s shallow inshore waters. Designed to run in just a few inches of water, the boat allows Reel Shallow Fishn Charters to reach skinny-water fishing areas that larger boats cannot access. It is equipped with a GPS, trolling motor, Power-Poles and a jack plate for precise positioning, quiet maneuvering and reliable access to the shallow flats, backcountry waters and inshore fishing grounds throughout Hernando County and Florida’s Nature Coast.

GUEST CANCELLATION: If you must cancel your booking, you must do so 1 day prior to your trip date to receive a refund on your deposit. Rescheduling is encouraged and dependent on guide availability.

GUIDE CANCELLATION: In the rare event that your guide must cancel due to inclement weather, health, or equipment issues, you will have the option to reschedule your charter for a later date or receive a refund on your deposit.

TIPPING: Tips to your guide are greatly appreciated for your quality trip.
